Guidelines/Policy
Sechelt has two banner locations, one at the corner of Teredo Street and Wharf Road and the other in Wilson Creek.
The banner posts are primarily available for community events and fundraiser events by non-profit organizations. Other events may also be considered depending on availability of unused time slots. The banners must be provided by the interested group. Installation and removal will be the responsibility of the District.
The banner posts on the SE corner of Wharf Road, Teredo Street and Wilson Creek allows for 12’x 3’ size banners. Double stitched grommets at each corner are required. Grommets at the mid-point, up and down are recommended for the 12' length.
Please note: Double stitched banners are recommended. If banners are not double stitched and require repair, the banner will be removed. It will be up to event organizers to pick up the damaged banner from Municipal Hall, repair, and return. Please also ensure that the banner material used is sufficient to withstand outdoor, sometimes stormy weather conditions (this is especially important if you plan to use your banner over multiple years).
